About This Blog

I believe that parents are not idiots, and that information about parenting that is reliable and referenced should be freely available.  I also believe parenting is not just an intellectual exercise but an emotional experience, and posts about these experiences are just as important for new parents as 'the facts'.  This blog is my contribution towards sanity and reassurance for new parents.

I am not a health professional and advice on this site is in no way meant to replace advice from your health professional - though hopefully it encourages you to ask them some more probing questions. What I have done is provided references so you can check for yourself where the info comes from. If you think I have overlooked important info or misinterpreted a study, please comment and bring it to my attention!
